A gorgeous and versatile combination of the famous Chardonnay grape with aromatic Viognier. "It wasn't until I got to the well-made, peachy La Chasse Chardonnay Viognier, that I started to see the point of a French brand." Anthony Rose, The Independent
Chardonnay and Viognier grapes are picked at the coolest time of the morning in order to preserve their freshness before the sun warms the vines too much. The grapes come from various vineyard sites of the Languedoc, South and West of France. They are pressed after a short skin maceration and 4 to 6 hours later the clear juice is racked off. This wine is not matured in oak.
This wine displays ripe, exotic fruit and limongrass aromas which are fresh and vivid. Harmonious and soft, it can be enjoyed on its own or with fish, seafood or white meat, such as chicken.

La Châsse is one of France's more reliable brands - which is not meant to damn it with barely audible praise - and this 50/50 blend is well up to par. Soft, ripe and unoaked, with attractive apricot, melon and white peach flavours. -

Another zesty, attractive southern French dry white, a blend of half chardonnay and half viognier. Very good with seafood dishes.
